Abstract
The scienti!c and methodological foundations of drawing on expertise in civil and
arbitration proceedings in the present conditions, the necessity of creation of technical
and tactical security forensic evidence with special knowledge in civil (arbitration)
proceedings are discussed in this article. The author also focuses on the most problematic
issues: the need to adjust the notion of "special knowledge" and amending the existing
legislation, verifying the competence of experts and specialists in connection with the
cases in the judicial practice of asking questions, border legal, and so on.

Abstract
In this paper, an algorithm for solving the question of the presence of a defect color
di!erence repair body elements with respect to the factory this issue and the basic
information about the device BYK-mac COLOR and software-based, which are used in RFCFS. The practice of using the device in question and conducted with the help of his means of examination, and the virtual absence of call experts to testify in court in sug- gestive explaliations on the study showed the e!ectiveness of using a spectrophotometer BYKmac COLOR.

This article represents tools and methods for authenticity analysis of video and audio recordings stored on FAT16 or FAT32 digital media storages. Di"erent types of editing are taken into consideration: breaches of media data allocation order, media #les and their sequences creation and modi#cation date and time attributes disorder, naming features mismatch, search for deleted data proving sound/video editors usage.

Abstract
The latest modern instrumental methods for the automated mineralogical analyses on
the base of scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with energy dispersive X-ray
spectrometer (EDS) and the special automated systems (QUANTA, MLA, TIMA), which
can be eectively used in future in the aid of soil and geological forensic examination
are described. Principles of their work are depicted. The special software enabling work
of SEM-EDS in an automated mode are also considered.

Abstract
The paper deals with current challenges in improving the technical capabilities of forensic
divisions in ballistic and trace evidence examinations focused on surface morphology. The
proposed combination of equipment and methodology enables the automation of morphology measurement and comparative characterization, and thus contributes to ensuring the quality of forensic examinations.
