On the Issue of Forensic Analysis of the Images of Handwriting Objects

Abstract

The article highlights the current issues of forensic analysis of images of manuscripts. The authors describe these objects of forensic handwriting expertise, highlight their distinctive features. They also present the results of a comparative analysis of the main methodological approaches to the process of expert study of images of handwriting objects currently used in the Russian state and non-state forensic expert institutions.
Based on the analysis of the practice of forensic handwriting study, the authors justify the necessity of an integrated approach to the expert research of handwritten objects images.
