THE PROBLEM OF HEADLINE ANALYSIS IN FORENSIC LINGUISTICS

Abstract

The paper examines the problem of headline analysis in the process of forensic linguistic assessment of mass media texts in slander and libel cases. Several key principles are outlined that forensic linguists can rely on when conducting headline analysis.
