ESTABLISHING THE CATEGORY OF TREE VITALITY AND THE CAUSES OF BIG TREE FAILURE

Abstract

The paper explores the categories of coniferous and deciduous tree vitality, types of big tree failure, and their principal and associated causes. Examples from forensic casework are used to lay out the framework for establishing vitality indicators for coniferous trees, as well as possible causes of coniferous tree failure and the specific type of collapse.
