USING SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE IN CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY IN COURT TO DETERMINE WHETHER A DISPUTED STRUCTURE WAS BUILT WITHOUT A PERMIT

Abstract

The paper determines the scope of the forensic engineer's legal authority in court during hearings aimed at determining whether a structure was built without proper authorization. The key stages of the forensic investigation, its objectives and targets are outlined.
